Ever Get a Rude Email? What Do You Say Back?

christianmerritt279

What do you do when you receive a rude email response? What do you do? What do you say back? I send marketing emails, almost on a daily basis, to companies that I'd like to work with... and every so often, I'll get a response that teeters on the edge of “NO. STOP BOTHERING ME. YOU SUCK!”.

Okay...they don't exactly say the “You suck” part, but...you understand what I'm saying.

Now, I would assume that most people in my LinkedIn Family own a business or businesses, or trying a side hustle or something like that, so you're required to do some sort of email marketing or some kind of outreach, because how would people know you exist, right? But when I do receive a rude response, I am curious on how others handle it.

I know that, personally, my experience is that I'm going to attempt to try and kill them with kindness. You know, I'm going to say, “Hey, sorry for bothering you, I was just excited about your website, you make some awesome content, and I just wanted to be a part of that.

However, I am curious if anyone has tried a rude response back just to see if it works? I mean...I highly doubt that the lead you're trying to turn into a client isn't going to say, “Sir...Your rudeness has helped me to see MY rudeness and I apologize!”

Or maybe someone has, and it's worked like that! I'd like to hear your story...

How do you respond to rude email responses? Are you rude right back to them? Or do you try to kill them with kindness?

I know I'll take the kindness route, but I'm curious on everyone else's response.

Have a beautiful day!
